How often, these days, do you get to create a four-minute, special-effects filled commercial? Thanks to Creative Director Will Rust, we have had that opportunity one time more than most people. With L.A. Based Director Derin Seale, and Swedish DOP Hoyte van Hoytema, we proudly present the action-packed thriller, Korona. A savvy, handsome man, some bad guys chasing him, a pretty girl, a train – classic. What Avion added really was special. VFX Supervisors Jiri Sindelar and Denis Kozlov went on location, and afterwards, they worked their magic. Moving backgrounds through windows, and reflections on glass were added in one shot after another until, well, you would swear this train actually WAS moving. Trust us, it was not. Grading of the 2K scan was completed by Geoffrey on Pablo with outputs for Film, TV and Internet.
